I just launched a net control logging application to help NETs run a little smoother allowing attendees a chance to view the check-in logs, sessions notes, and other details to help hams stay aware of the happenings of the NET.
I am actively seeking feedback for this prototype. You are welcome to check it out but access to creating NETs requires admin approval and you must be willing to provide feedback.
Solar Radio Propagation Dashboard
I built this mobile dashboard application using an AI code-generating platform and deployed to Netlify as a free app for anyone. This prototype uses the same data that can be found here and puts it into a simple dashboard so you'll always have the HF propagation data right at your fingertips.
Give it a try and I would love to hear what you think about it.
Voice of America Coverage Analysis Program Map
VOACAP stands for Voice of America Coverage Analysis Program. It's a tool originally developed by the U.S. government for predicting HF (high-frequency) radio propagation. The VOACAP service that allows amateur radio operators to simulate and predict how radio signals will propagate under current conditions, helping to optimize communication.
VOA: Voice of America, the government broadcasting organization for which the tool was initially created.
CAP: Coverage Analysis Program, referring to its purpose of analyzing radio coverage areas and signal strength predictions.
Map of Amateur Radio Callsigns - EM7ve
This fantastic application will look up all the public call signs for a specific location. You can see in this screenshot all the stations in my own grid.
There is no shortage of applications to log QSOs. When I started in radio, the first application I used was QRZ.com and it has been the main tool for me for looking up other hams and log my contacts. Awards in the logbook is cool, but I really enjoy the ability to track the states and countries I've contacted.
QRZ.com is a comprehensive online resource for amateur radio operators worldwide. Founded in 1992 by Fred L. Lloyd, it has become one of the most recognized and widely used websites in the ham radio community. The site's name comes from the Q code "QRZ," which means "Who is calling me?"
The Hamrs app is a fantastic multiplatform application for logging POTA or everyday logging. I am using it on my iPad for POTA activation but I will occasionally use it when logging QSOs in the ham shack.
I have been playing around with World Radio League since it was launched and have logged a few contacts here. I really love the energy behind this application and there are some really cool concepts brewing here. Worth checking it out though and I hope you do!
Smart Logger is a really simple logging program that seems to work well for POTA. This product also has some significant usability and design issues but it's worth a try.
If you would like to exchange QSO cards please send me your information or when we meet over the air and I'll get one out to you.
